Still trying to find out where the heck I ended up. Definitely different from how I perceive my home continent Europe:

Dear Alan, Alec, Christina, Lothar, Mary Pat, Ming, Norm, and Steven, Lothar has suggested a  Going the Distance  blog site. I can’t think of a better Helsinki Bus ticket for doing just that, than that. Perhaps I can offer the first roll out post by saying, as I wrote to John Coles, our  Directing Actors  workshop teacher in appreciation (Ming’s wonderful word) that “Nevermore will movies be moving the way they used to. Hereafter, spotting actors acting from actors living will be the mark of great directing.” John’s workshop—think directing  House of Cards,  working with directors like David Fincher and Alan Sorkin—anchored  a new addition to my creative path, now also in filmmaking with the same force that my first workshop with John Benson (substituting for Diane Arbus that summer she decided to leave this world) set the pathway through a self-portrait in a mirror on a grassy knoll in Millerton, New York fifty-two years ago.
